Narrative
Was working on the docks at Texas City for the Mexican Petroleum Corp when the great Texas City explosion occurred. He was covered "like an umbrella" by a steel plate that fell, which is probably what saved him. He spent some time recuperating at Eugene's house in Galveston. (Story from Hedley)
