Narrative
From John Barnett, The Barnett Family of Alabama, 1934 :
For 2 or 3 years they lived at Briar Hill, Ala. and then removed
to Montgomery. He was a farmer, grocery merchant, timber
merchant and for a short while dealt in live stock. They evidently
felt as did Cousin Benj. Madison Barnett of Mobile, that our
Grand Parents were of very fine stock and that itpleased God to
multiply. Here's a thought in teh way of comparison - - If others
had felt likewise Amarica today would be at least a nation of
250,000,000 happy souls instead of only half that number.
