MASTERSON
At 9:55 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2003, the immortal, immaculate soul of STACIE
LENORE BEGGS STRANGE PROUDFOOT MASTERSON ascended to take her place in the
great kingdom of our almighty God.
Stacie was born on November 10, 1957 in Austin, Texas. The cancer that claimed
her life after a courageous battle was diagnosed shortly after her birthday in
1996.
She is survived by her daughter Samantha Leigh Proudfoot, husband Cecil Haden
Masterson, parents Charles and Kay Beggs, sister Sheleigh Kay Beggs, brother
Wesley Matthew Beggs and wife Karen, their children Angelle and Andre, aunt
Sandy Boswell, uncle Jerry Orr, great-aunt Anita Nix, and family friend "uncle"
Steve Debnam.
Stacie attended Southern Methodist University, and received a Bachelor's degree
in Business from the University of Texas Dallas. Her work history included IBM
and Farmer's Insurance in Texas, and marketing and consulting in South Africa.
A visitation with the family will be at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home in
Friendswood on Wednesday, June 18th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A celebration of
Stacie's life will take place at Friendswood Friends Church on Thursday, June
19th, at 3 p.m. with Reverend Glenda McDonald and Reverend Dr. Joseph Roher.
Pallbearers are Matthew Beggs, Steve Evans, Douglas Masterson, Harris
Masterson, Charles Proudfoot and Matthew Taylor.
In remembrance of Stacie, her family respectfully suggests donations to the
American Cancer Society; M.D. Anderson Cancer Center research programs; or the
